ELECTRIC AGGREGATION PROGRAM

Current Electric ProgramEnergy Harbor has renewed their contract with the Village; however, it does not take effect until the May 2023 meter read dates and will continue through May of 2026. The rate will be $.0725 per kWh. Until this rate is established in May of 2023, you will pay the default rate on your electric bill which will be a variable rate. The old contract with Energy Harbor ended in May, 2022.

Do your research:  Have your electric bill on hand , then go online to the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio's site for the “Apples to Apples” chart (linked above), Make sure you click on either Gas or Electric, then First Energy, as these are the offers you are eligible for. You can also call them at 1-800-686-7829 to get this information.

Another great resource is the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel. This is a residential consumer advocate organization. Their website is www.pickocc.org or you can call them at 1-877-742-5622.

Unfortunately, no one can predict energy prices to far into the future so we encourage you to do your research!

GAS AGGREGATION PROGRAM

The Village of Doylestown has selected IGS Energy of Dublin, Ohio as the supplier of natural gas to participants in its Natural Gas Aggregation Program. You are eligible to participate with other residents and small businesses in your community. You will automatically be enrolled in the Village of Doylestown Natural Gas Aggregation Program unless you notify IGS Energy that you do not wish to participate.

Under governmental aggregation, the Village of Doylestown acts on behalf of natural gas consumers in the community to negotiate a gas supply contract with eligible suppliers. Both the Village of Doylestown and IGS Energy must be certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. The Village of Doylestown voters approved the implementation of the program on November 2, 2004 and the Village Council Members approved ordinance number 2005-15. Your participation in the aggregation program for the Village of Doylestown will begin within one or two billing periods after enrollment with Dominion Energy Ohio (DEO) and end with your October 2024 billing period.

The Village has selected a multi-faceted program that will initially offer you a variable monthly rate for your natural gas that will subsequently transition into a fixed rate. From your November 2022 billing cycle through your March 2023 billing cycle, you will be billed at monthly variable rate that will be calculated by taking the applicable NYMEX final monthly settlement plus an adder of $0.05 per MCF, which provides a guaranteed $0.13 per MCF savings vs. the Dominion Energy Ohio (DEO) Standard Choice Offer. DEO is the default provider of gas supply services (in addition to its typical regulated distribution services) to customers who elect to not participate with a third-party supplier. From your April 2023 billing cycle through your October 2024 billing cycle, you will be billed at a fixed rate of $6.61 per MCF, plus applicable state and local taxes. Please refer to the “Price” section on the accompanying Terms and Conditions for full details of all pricing.

Under this program IGS Energy will deliver your gas to DEO and then DEO will deliver that gas to you. DEO will maintain the pipeline system that delivers natural gas to your home or business. DEO will continue to read your meter and will continue to send you a monthly bill that will include the gas supply charge from IGS Energy. You will still contact DEO regarding loss of gas service, odor of gas, or for any other concerns or issues having to do with your local service. Budget billing and automatic billing options will continue to be available through DEO.

PLEASE REMEMBER: You can get into this aggregation program at anytime. Therefore, if you are currently with another supplier with a higher rate, and would like to join the villages program, we suggest that you check with your current supplier before switching plans to avoid any unnecessary penalties.

If you are new to the Village and would like to join our aggregation, call IGS at 1-800-280-4474. Tell them you are a resident of the Village of Doylestown and would like to join the aggregation program. You must first establish your account with Dominion because you have to provide IGS with your account information.

If you have any questions please call IGS Energy at 1-877-353-0162, weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST.
