Fiscal Officer

Responsibilities 

The Village’s financial activity is processed, recorded, and reported by the Finance Department. In cooperation with all other Village departments, Finance records and deposits receipts for all money collected and pays bills in accordance with the Ohio laws governing the expenditure of taxpayer money.  Major responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Budget Management
  • Financial Reporting
  • Payroll

As a Village Council-appointed record-keeping officer, the Fiscal Officer is responsible for the preparation, execution, and archiving of all Village Council documents as prescribed by state law and Village Code. These duties include: 

  • Archiving Council documents, official proceedings, ordinances, and resolutions
  • Maintaining Council meeting and election materials 
  • Providing Notary Public services
  • Publicizing of legal notices
  • Recording official documents
