Mayor's Court

Village of Downtown's Mayor's Court serves as a local judicial forum to rule on misdemeanor offenses alleged to be in violation of the Village's Codified Ordinances.

Information

Mayor's Court is in session at 4:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.  Call ahead to verify if court will be in session.  The Village Mayor's Court Clerk's office is in the Police Department.  The address is 20 S. Portage Street - Doylestown, OH  44230.

Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. We are closed daily for lunch from 12:00 - 12:30 pm.

Payment Options

If you were issued a citation in the Village of Doylestown, you may waive your rights to appear in Mayor's Court.  By doing so, you are pleading guilty to the violation. 

Payments must be received PRIOR to the assigned court date.  You must sign the back of the ticket and enclose a payment in the form of a personal check or money order (Made payable to Doylestown Mayor's Court).  You may mail or drop your payment off to the Doylestown Police Department - 20 S. Portage Street, Doylestown, OH  44230.  See other payment options in tab at left.
 

Financial Responsibility

The State of Ohio law requires that everyone must provide proof of insurance when requested by a law enforcement officer at the time of your offense, you must bring proof of insurance for the date of your offense to your court appearance, or enclose proof with  your payment.  Proof of Insurance is required on the vehicle you were driving on the date and time you were cited.
