Christmas At The Square

Christmas at the Square began in 2012.  The idea was to enhance our downtown during the holidays, by inviting businesses, non-profit groups and families to display a tree in the spirit of Christmas.

We hope that this tradition continues and grows every year.  The 2016 Registration form is listed below.  New for this year, we are having the trees judged for best overall decorating, with prized being awarded as follows:  1st Place - $100; 2nd Place - $50; 3rd Place - $25.
 
 

2016 CATS EVENT

Christmas at the Square Tree Lighting was held December 3rd at 5:15 pm.  We had a total of 11 participants and they were as follows:

2016 Winners

:
1st Place - $100 Gift Card - Girl Scout Service Unit 955
JUDGES COMMENTS: A good representation of the iconic Girl Scouts Cookie Sale and other scouting activities makes this tree a genuine delight.  the decorations displayed a pleasing color scheme with a rich variety of hand-crafted ornaments highlighted with an original felt garland.
2nd Place - $75  Gift Card - Smitty's Car Service
JUDGES COMMENTS:  This tree was consistent in its theme, highlighting a local business in a charmingly decorative and representative display.  The use of a variety of auto product placements and vehicles draws the viewer in for closer inspection and appreciation.
3rd Place - $50  Gift Card - Chippewa Youth Cheerleaders
JUDGES COMMENTS:  This tree showed a good use of thematic material and color scheme, representing the spirit and enthusiasm of its creators.
