I have been a proud member of the Doylestown Police Department since 2007. In 2009, I graduated from the D.A.R.E Officer Training Program held by D.A.R.E of America, becoming D.A.R.E/SRO certified. I now teach the D.A.R.E program, to our local School District including Sts. Peter and Paul, which I am very passionate about. Just recently (20I6), was recognized by D.A.R.E. of America for 5 years of service for teaching the program.
The D.A.R.E Program provides students from kindergarten through high school with the skills necessary to recognize and resist pressures to experiment with drugs and to avoid violence. Lessons emphasizing, self-esteem, decision-making, interactive communication skills, the effects of drug abuse, conflict resolution and positive alternatives to substance abuse to live a productive drug-free life.
I also enjoy participating with our department’s charitable events including, Shop with a Cop, Share a Christmas and CAC “Spare a Child, Strike out Child Abuse”. I also teach free programs to our community, including CPR/First Aid/AED and Babysitting classes.
